By all description this should be the place. Who’s here? speak, ho! No answer! What is this? Timon is dead, who hath outstretch’d his span: Some beast rear’d this; there does not live a man. Dead, sure; and this his grave. What’s on this tomb I cannot read; the character I’ll take with wax: Our captain hath in every figure skill, An aged interpreter, though young in days: Before proud Athens he’s set down by this, Whose fall the mark of his ambition is.
This should be the place, based on all the descriptions. Is anyone here? Speak up, hello! No response! What’s this? Timon is dead, he’s reached the end of his life: A beast made this; no human has been here. He’s definitely dead; this is his grave. I can’t read what’s on this tomb, But I’ll take an impression of the letters with wax: Our captain is skilled in every symbol, An old interpreter, though still young: Before proud Athens, he’s marked by this, Whose fall was the symbol of his ambition.
